When your vehicle breaks down, the first question is usually pretty simple: how do I get it somewhere that can actually help me? A dead battery, overheating engine, no-start condition, flat tire, or mechanical failure can leave you stranded with very little warning. While Asian Imports does not operate our own towing company, we work with a number of professional towing and roadside assistance providers throughout the Las Vegas Valley and can often help make the process much easier.
Over the years, we have developed relationships with many local towing companies that regularly bring vehicles to our Summerlin, Southwest Las Vegas, and Henderson locations. If your vehicle cannot be driven safely, you are always welcome to have it towed directly to the Asian Imports location that is most convenient for you. Once it arrives, our team can begin the process of documenting the concern, inspecting the vehicle, and determining what caused the breakdown.
Asian Imports is also a AAA Approved Auto Repair facility. That relationship is especially helpful for AAA members because roadside assistance benefits often include towing to an approved repair facility. Depending on your membership level and the circumstances of the breakdown, AAA may tow your vehicle to one of our locations at little or no out-of-pocket cost to you. We see vehicles arrive this way every week, and our staff is familiar with the process.
We also work with other roadside assistance programs and towing networks that provide service through insurance companies, vehicle service contracts, and other membership programs. In many cases, the customer already has towing coverage available and simply needs to tell the roadside assistance provider where they want the vehicle delivered. If Asian Imports is your repair shop of choice, you can ask to have the vehicle brought directly to us.
One thing I always tell customers is not to assume that the closest repair facility is automatically the best place to send the vehicle. If you already have a shop you trust, it often makes sense to have the vehicle towed there from the beginning. Paying for, or using your roadside assistance benefit for, one tow is usually better than moving the vehicle twice after you discover the first shop cannot diagnose or repair the problem.
Safety is also important. If the engine is overheating, the oil pressure warning light is on, the vehicle is making a severe mechanical noise, or something simply does not feel safe, continuing to drive can turn a manageable repair into a much larger one. In those situations, shutting the vehicle off and arranging a tow is often the smarter and less expensive decision.
